At Dental at the Bow, our Dental Team knows that Tooth decay is the most common, but ultimately most preventable, childhood chronic disease both in Canada and around the world. Since oral disease most frequently begins in the preschool years, it is important to establish good oral hygiene behaviors early on. Healthy teeth and gums contribute to a happier and healthier life. In Canada, one-third of the population does not have dental insurance, and as a result, many individuals go without necessary dental care because it is too expensive.

Experience the Benefits of the Canadian Dental Care Plan

With the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), implemented by the Government of Canada, you can access reliable, accessible and high-quality oral health treatments. By participating in this plan, you can access a wide range of oral health treatments and ensure the aesthetics and functionality of your personal and unique smile!

Applications are now open for:

  • Seniors aged 65 and over
  • Children under the age of 18
  • Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit Certificate
  • All remaining eligible residents (not in one of the above groups) can apply starting in 2025.

What to Expect

Dental at the Bow is pleased to assist you in navigating the process of becoming part of the CDCP.

  • Once approved by the CDCP, you will be eligible to receive routine dental cleanings, root canal therapy, fillings, dentures and extractions. There are many other eligible services, but these services require pre-approval by the CDCP.
  • There is no reason to wait to receive the dental treatment you need! Speak with a dental team member at the Bow to review the details of your coverage and discuss how to get started on your journey to optimal dental health.

Eligibility

To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You do not have any current dental insurance
  • Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,00.00
  • You are a Canadian resident (for tax purposes)
  • You have submitted your income tax return for the previous year

For more information regarding these qualifications, please visit the official program page at www.Canada.ca/Dental

Fast Facts about the CDCP
